Relations are Improving!

Leo and Virgil are still doing well on the road to buddy-hood. Virgil is growing and learning new things every day. His major fascination is still Leo and his own tail. He still hasn't figured out that his tail will always be behind him and that Leo really doesn't like someone chewing on his tail. (Believe it or not, both on the bed at the same time is a big step!)

He's up to almost 4 lbs.; lots of muscles and a baby belly. He experimented with figs and watermelon this week. Food seems to be one of his passions right now and he's not afraid to try to try to get a sample from anyone.

His favorite toy continues to be a small stuffed elephant he drags around by the truck and beats up regularly. He also has a lobster about his size that he drags around by the claw. Paper, especially tissue paper, is also a big thrill. I'm not sure I have a magazine without tiny teeth marks right now.

My bedtime seems to be his time to get rambunctious and 5am seems to be his favorite time to cuddle. I've learned if I want any early morning sleep, sans baby wrapped around my head purring enthusiastically, I need to close the bedroom door. Luckily, the living room holds plenty of interesting things to occupy him while I sleep.

You're doing so well! I have a special place in my heart for Virgil because he looks so much like my Potter. It seems that they are also similar in intellect (not much interest in high level thinking), but that's to our advantage because they seem to pour more energy into enjoying life and loving and being loved. Hey, maybe they have figured out the meaning of life! Hugs to Leo for being a patient mentor.

My kitty loves paper as well! My mother is a musician, so most of the pieces of music that are sitting out end up having the corners chewed off. Unfortunately, my dog noticed her doing this, so she is very much into chewing any paper (tissues, paper towels, newspapers, computer paper, etc), and treating it like a toy and tearing/chewing it to shreds. At least she looks cute while she does it!

I'm so happy to check in and find new pics and news. They are so pretty, and Virg sounds like a love monster. I'd be walking around very sleepy, because I'd opt for the cat-wrapped head and purring at 5 a.m. He sounds irresistibly cute.

LOL!

Tiny teeth marks make me sigh! Every time I run across a cardboard box or magazine in the basement kitchen, where I fostered my Bitty and her brood last year, the itty tooth marks bring back such wonderful memories.

Glad to hear the boys are making progress in the companionship department!

Oh, I'm so glad to see an update on Virgil! He was my favorite Pettibone, and he really seems to be thriving at your place.

Hi Evelyn!
I know it's work keeping up a blog so this isn't a prod. Just wanted to be sure you knew folk are looking forward to the next installment of "leo and the Virg" whenever you're ready!

Glad to hear from Phyllis and the Aliens dads that you, Leo and the Virg are doing well. Sorry to hear that your camera doesn't want to share pictures. You do know that "we" followers of IBKC grads don't mind if you just post updates? "We" adore pictures but we also apreciate stories of the grads exploits. "We" will keep checking. I have a Sony camera that Windows h_a_t_e_s, I take lots of pictures with it but for my blog I actually use my phone camera that has a micro card that goes in a USB card reader thingy, gets plugged into the computer's USB port. Anniecat tends to ignore the phone longer than the "OOOOHHHH loook you got the camera let me see it NOOOOWWWWW!!!!!" So I get more pictures of other than her nose.
